For braids, sew-ins, and extensions, bring your preferred hair type and color. Unsure what to grab? Call us before your appointment for guidance.
Eat Beforehand & Stay Hydrated
Long appointments are easier on a full stomach. Bring a snack, water, and your favorite playlist or show on your tablet.
Arrive 5 Minutes Early

Do I need to wash my hair before my braiding appointment?
Yes. Arrive with freshly washed, blow-dried, and detangled hair unless your service specifically includes a wash. This protects your scalp and gives the longest-lasting install.
What hair brand should I buy for box braids or knotless braids?
We recommend pre-stretched braiding hair such as X-Pression, Outre, or Sensationnel. Typically 6 to 8 packs depending on length and size. Call us beforehand if you're unsure.
How long will my appointment take?
Braiding services range from 3 to 8 hours depending on style, size, and length. Sew-ins take 2 to 4 hours, loc retwists 1 to 2 hours. We'll confirm timing at booking.
Can I bring my child or a guest?
We ask that only the client receiving service be present so the salon stays calm and focused. Kids' appointments are the exception; one parent may stay.
What if I'm running late?
Please call immediately. Arrivals over 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled, and the deposit is non-refundable per our policy.
